Artificial Intelligence Technologies J.K. Oy has developed the commercial app called Westend Health. The app is intended for use as is.
This Privacy Policy explains how the company collects, uses, stores, deletes, and discloses information in relation to the Westend Health app. If you choose to use our app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Information collected by the app is used only to provide and improve the app’s functionality for the user. Other information not described in this policy is not collected.
These Terms and Conditions are the same as on the Westend Health website www.artificialintelligence.fi, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
Measurement Data
Westend Health can be used together with compatible external Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) measurement devices, such as an armband, or other compatible sensors. When a compatible device is connected to the phone, measurement data collected by the device may include, for example, heart rate, HRV, SpO₂, temperature, steps, activity, or wellness-related measurements.
This measurement data is stored locally on the user’s phone. The data is not transmitted from the phone for analysis, is not processed on external servers, and is not shared with or disclosed to any third parties. All measurements remain under the user’s control on their own device unless the user explicitly chooses to export or share the data.
The measurement data is used solely to display information to the user within the app and to support the app’s core functionality. The company does not use this data for profiling, marketing, advertising, or automated decision-making.
Data Storage and Retention
Measurement history is stored locally on the user’s phone. The app stores this data for as long as the user keeps it in the app or on the device. The company does not store this measurement history on its own servers.
Measurement data may be stored as local JSON files on the user’s phone. These JSON files may include, for example, heart rate history, HRV history, SpO₂ history, temperature history, and step history.
Because the data is stored locally on the user’s own device, the user controls how long the data is retained. The data remains on the device until the user deletes it from the app, deletes the local files, deletes the app, or otherwise removes the data from the device.
How Users Can Delete Their Data
Users can delete their locally stored measurement data directly inside the Westend Health app. Measurement history can be deleted from the history list and from the relevant measurement views, including heart rate, HRV, SpO₂, and temperature views. When a measurement entry is deleted from the app’s history list or from the relevant measurement view, that locally stored measurement entry is removed from the app’s local history.
Users may also delete the locally stored JSON data files manually using Files app, where available. Since the app stores measurement history as JSON files on the user’s phone, deleting those JSON files removes the corresponding locally stored measurement history from the device.
Users can also remove locally stored app data by deleting the Westend Health app from their phone. Deleting the app may remove locally stored app data according to the operating system’s app data deletion behavior.
Because the company does not store the user’s measurement history on external servers, users do not need to request server-side deletion of this measurement history from the company. The measurement history can be deleted directly by the user from the phone.
Use of External Hardware and Data Handling
This app measures wellness-related values using external Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) compatible devices.
The app may be compatible with Fitcare-manufactured BLE heart rate sensors, compatible armbands, or other compatible BLE devices. Communication is based on the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol.
The app does not use Apple HealthKit, and measurement data is never synchronized with HealthKit unless this is explicitly added and disclosed in a future version of the app.
All measurement data is transferred only to this app, Westend Health. The data is not shared with HealthKit, other apps, or any third parties.
All measurements are performed locally under the user’s control.
Log Data
The company may collect limited technical data and information to improve the technical quality of the app. This data is called Log Data. Log Data may contain information such as device operating system version, app configuration, crash information, or IP address if such information is provided by platform services or technical logging systems.
Log Data is used only for technical maintenance, troubleshooting, and improving app quality. It is not used for marketing, advertising, or profiling.
Security
We provide high quality applications and do not intentionally collect personal measurement information on our servers. Measurement data is stored locally on the user’s phone. However, users should remember that no network, device, or storage system is 100% secure or reliable.

If you follow any third-party links from the app, we recommend reviewing their Privacy Policies, since they may differ from ours.
Children’s Privacy
The app is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have collected such information on our servers, we will delete it. Measurement history stored locally on the user’s phone remains under the control of the user or the device owner and can be deleted from the app, from the Files app, or by deleting the app.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We recommend that users review this information periodically. Changes are posted to this site and become effective immediately after posting.
